Short days

It´s been planned for days. I made the doug last night. It´s been in the fridge over night- and today it´s perfect to stick out gingerbread cookies.
Angels, a tree, a man & wife, teddy, pigs, snowman, a maple leaf here and there and some hugh lobsters. There also is a raindeer( which Viktor meant was a goat!!! , well there was a surten similarity) LOL
Other than that I had a very short day at work today- out of 4 kids- none was in school- so therefore I went home by 10.40. jubiiii. - The short day gave the time to connect with the internet again ( been without for 36 hr.... horrible- do not recomend it!!) and hook up with phone company again. I switched to a much cheeper company, both my cell, home phone ( I kept the same numbers)- and internet. wires here and there- yellow, grey, blue, white - some for phone , some for browser, some for ............... how do men find that fascinating??? well- spend some time on my cell with customer service on Onfone and had a chat with Morten that tried to help me.
He explained very slowly how to get one thing at the time to work( very polite and friendly), but when my patience was gone with my pc, he asked me how I thought he had it? he could not see anything of what I was doing and still helping me!! Well probably the same way when I help others with their knitting on the phone-asking and telling :-) - he laughed and said that it was a good explaination.
Two boxes to right is connected - the mess on the left corner is what I pulled out from behind the computer and down from the wall.Geeeh! I have to send it back too. Maybe I have that original box somewhere ( I tend to save stuff like that). What I learned from it: I can do stuff and I did worry way too much for no reason. And it was awful not to be able to connect with the world- wired how we get used to this easy way of connecting with other people and I almost panicked when I realised that it all was shut down at the same time. Lucky for me my cell was a piece of cake to switch.
Have a good day out there- The Climate conference in Copenhagen is going on and today it´s been sad, dark , rainy weather.
In only 11 days the sun will turn again and brighter times will come. I had lights at my bike this morning- it was all dark( and I am so tired in the mornings- can hardly get up).

It´s about time.....

I fell for a cocking book- again!! I got to stop buying these books! Don`t have time to use them! but this was a bargin sooooo.... therefor ! A woman knows when a good bargin is in front of her.
Slowly, very slowly christmas is coming inside my house.
I a slow beginner( I just hate to think of that I have to get up on the loft to get the boxes )

This colour of red is so rich and beatiful.
A new paper-star lamp .
Outside lights is giving a cosy and bright atmosphere.
Meanwhile ...........
Palett socks ready done! Yarn is Sandnes mini Palett from Sandnes yarn.

Darkside Cowl by Sarah Fama. I used Austermann´s Alpaca silk on needles 4.5mm.
I knitted until I used a whole ball of 50 gr.- aprox 3 repeats of pattern.
It fitts close to neck- andyes! It is soft.

Congrats sister dear!

My younger sister is a super freshly right out of the examination rooms: A Reflexologist ( a more advanced form for foot zone therapi- she is working on the whole body and not just the feets)
For you guys in Norway ( or Denmark & Sweeden) go check out her web site and you will know more about what it is.

She helped me with several small problems and best of all- I learned how to help my self.
Congratts sis. You should be proud of your self - I am.
Hugh hugs from Big Sis.

Wacky times.

I haven´t got so much to show, but still feel the need to say a few words.
I am still knitting, not as much as I want to since work is steeling alot of my time. A pair of socks is almost there only few rows left til cast off.
I feel the need to knit something else and I do have a couple of ideas , only need to decide yarn and needles- and projects. One of the weekly magazines in Denmark had a little folder of slippers this week , and many of them looks good, comfortable and nice. I might start something from that folder.
At work we do have 2 weeks left at school and start our vacation with a fun and relaxing christmas party at work. But right now it`s friday! I have some turkey to cook. I am expecting my oldest son to come home from his school out of town.
Daughter is at her riding club and all she can think of these days is horses, ( some school work), her boy friend and making her self look pretty in front of the mirror.
This morning it took her 1 hr!!!!!!! and skipped breakfast to make-up.
Not good. I ofcourse had a comment or two for her to think of and will have a little chat with her later this weekend.
She is a beatiful girl ( as they all are in that age, skin, hair, clothes everything fitts ) and there is no need for all this. See part of that girl "problems " is not making her look good to boys- its to look good for the girlfriends.
They compare , judge and comment. That age is so horrible. I am so happy I am 45 .
Being my self, no worries about how others think of me, feeling confident with who I am and so on.
Anyway:

The dearest BF ever!! He made me an advent calender- little surprises everyday for 24 days.
I do love him and his little poems.
It´s hanging by my bed so that I can get my curiosity killed firts thing.

My son at 13 had a national test in english in november and results came back yesterday.
I knew he would do good, but he actually did very well . So proud of him and the fact that he is turning his situation ( the adhd ) around makes me a proud Mom.

Winter is here. Only in Denmark it rains..In Norway there is snow. I hate the rain and wind.
Global warming is sertenly making temperetures crawl higher and higher.
This November has been the most rainy - EVER!!!
just recently we had two days with Mr. Frost ( and full Moon)- then again : rain.

This picture is just to spread some holiday feeling.
Enjoy your weekend knits- I will spend time to read my winter Interweave Knits.

Advent Candles

We are already there again. Christmas time.
By Tuesday there will be count down in several homes and this one is no exeption.
Candles is a must for me and I love making simple , yet different decorations every year.
One big,fat white one to mark the advent sundays. The other is lillac and marks every day down to the 24 of Dec.
I used moss and chesnuts, zool- mussels and some small plants I dont know the name of.
About the christmas presents I am well done- not that many left and that feels good.
More christmas stuff to come next week- I have to open my advent calander( the one I bought in Vienna, remember?)
Other than that I am knitting- as many of you- but not that much for gifts...
